William Lovell Academy Cross Country Races February 2016

Tower Road girls hold onto 1st place.

After a wet and windy weekend, it was decided on the morning that these races could go ahead, especially as the next wintery storm was due to hit Lincolnshire later that day! So, on Monday 1st February, 19 keen runners headed to William Lovell Academy to take part in the races.

This year it had been decided that there would be small schools' boys' and girls' races followed by large schools' boys and girls' races. At 11:15am the small schools' girls' race began. There were William Lovell hares on hand to lead the way round the course.

After the large schools' boys' races all the competitors waited for the results.

In the large schools': 1st Amy (Boston West), 2nd Georgia (Butterwick) and 3rd Katie (Donnington). For the boys it was 1st Callum (Tower Road), 2nd Oliver (Boston West) and 3rd Aaron also from Boston West. Congratulations to all the individual winners.

Many thanks to all Mr Hopwood for organising the event and to all of the William Lovell students for marshalling and running as hares. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the runners. It was a great morning!
