If you need any help with any of the homework, or you are not sure what to do, please do ask your class teacher.

Maths – Please practise comparing a number of different objects from around the house using < > or =. Numbots session (at least 15 mins). https://play.numbots.com/#/intro  

 

Reading - Please read your reading book at least twice and record it in your Reading Record. Look in the words to learn section at the bottom of the page. If your teacher has written some words please practise reading these.

 

Phonics – We are now beginning to learn Phase 5 sounds. Use the following to practise writing and counting the phonemes in each word: play, stay, stray, today, loud, proud, sound, lie, tie, replied, team, bead, steam and dream.

We are also learning to read the following tricky words: oh, their, people, Mr, Mrs, looked, called, asked and could. See if you can find all of these tricky words in this word search.

 

Knowledge Organiser Task 1 – History – although we have finished learning about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, please recall facts that you have learnt and write 3 or 4 sentences about this, then dicuss/ write down why we celebrate 5th November with fireworks.

Knowledge Organiser Task 2 – Science – This term in Science we are continuing to focus on forces. Go around your house and find things that are easily moved – balls, toy cars etc. find different surfaces in your house (sofa, carpet, bath tub) to move them on. What do you notice about the different surfaces? Why do some objects move better on particular surfaces than others? Remember to use your key vocabulary from your Knowledge Organiser.
