 Maths

This week, we could like you to practise adding 2, two-digit numbers together using the column method we have been learning to use.

Reading 

Please read your reading book at least twice and record it in your Reading Record.

In  Year 2 will be given a new reading book on a Monday and these will need to be handed back in on a Friday to allow them to be quarantined over the weekend. New books will be given out the following Monday. Children will need to bring their reading books to school each day to enable us to listen to them read in school.

 

Phonics

Please remember to keep practicing your Phase 5 sounds.

Spellings 

Learn to spell the tricky words; said, so, have, like, were, there.

You could write them in sentences to help you practise them. 

 

Knowledge Organiser Task 1

 Learn Section 1 of your Art knowledge organiser (Styles of sculpture). Using the pictures of different sculptures, can you create your own sculpture using materials around your house?  

 

Knowledge Organiser Task 2

Learn Section 3 of your Science knowledge organiser (properties of materials). You may want to have a look around your house to see if you can find objects, which have different properties and explain to your grown up what the properties of each material are.
