Year 6

Hi everyone!
I thought I'd send out an announcement as I've just reminded the children in the class about it, but please can you ask your parents about the Parentmail letter regarding the year book. Parents will have to give permission for your photograph to be in the year book on Parentmail, however after that, it's up to you! The photo should be portrait style (not too far away!).  Please also ensure there is nobody else in the photo and that the background is appropriate for sharing with others. You can dress up, pull silly faces or pose in any way they would like - in fact we encourage this! You simply need to send the photo of yourself and answers to the following questions:
1. Describe your favourite memory from your time at Tower Road.
2. What would you like to be doing in 10 years’ time?
3. A goodbye message to your fellow students and teachers in no more than 75 words.

Please then send the photo to with the email subject ‘YEARBOOK’.
We thought this would be a really nice way to create a lasting memory for you all! Let me know if you have any questions - and please tell your friends about this who don't use the website for home learning!
Thank you :)

Below is the Year 6 spelling list. If you wish to do any spellings with your children, you can use the list in a variety of ways: hangman, write the words in a sentence, look, cover, write and check, take out letters from the spelling and ask the children to fill in the gaps etc. The spelling list includes words which use the spelling rules your child has been taught throughout the years. If you play any different games, please feel free to post these on SeeSaw so other children/parents can play them too! smiley

Reading Ninja Easter Challenge

SeeSaw information - please read.

SeeSaw is now being used where there are some fun activities added daily for the children to complete, it has been great fun this week! Remind your children to use their personal log in information (provided in the pack sent home) to access it. The children have used this app/website within school and know how it works. You can download the SeeSaw app or type into the internet browser.

On SeeSaw, children are also provided with a code to be able to access Learning By Questions (an online website) which gives them access to some extra academic activities. There will be a new code and new activities each day.
