Anti-bullying

Bullying is usually defined as repeated behaviour which is intended to hurt someone either emotionally or physically, and is often aimed at certain people because of their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation or any other aspect such as appearance or disability and can take many forms, including:

•          physical assault

•          social bullying

•          threatening behaviour

•          name calling

•          cyberbullying

At Tower Road Academy we take a zero tolerance approach to bullying. If you or your child are concerned about bullying in school, please bring it to the attention of your child’s class teacher as soon as possible. They are usually best placed work together with your child to put a swift end to any problems.

If a teacher has not been able to put an end to the problem, or has any concerns, they will bring it to the attention of the Safeguarding Team who may be able to provide further help or support. Our school policy contains further information on how we deal with bullying in our school.
