Our School Parliament

The aim of our School Parliament is to empower our pupils and help them to understand the democratic process of government and the Rule of Law, as well as supporting them to be a voice for positive change within school.

The Election Process

Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6 were able to apply to become a member of the Tower Road Academy School Parliament. There were a huge number of applications! After much thought and consideration, a selection of 32 candidates were shortlisted.  These candidates then campaigned and gave speeches to persuade others to vote for them.
