Our vision for art and design ~ experiment, techniques, expression
experiment ~ We encourage pupils to be creative and experimental. We provide opportunities for pupils to use a range of materials and techniques, to try them out without ‘pressure’ and consider the results.
techniques ~ Practising different techniques in a range of disciplines is crucial to fluency and subsequently mastery; the more they practise, the better the pupils become.
expression ~ Pupils are encouraged to try out the techniques they have learnt to express themselves as individuals for different purposes. A range of artwork is shared with pupils to inspire and learn from.
