curiosity ~ We want pupils to be engaged, motivated and most of all curious about the past. Lessons, visits, and visitors are inspiring and exciting. We want pupils to want to know about the past.
chronology ~ Every lesson is underpinned by chronology. We want pupils to know that history is a story, and when that story took place. Pupils understand that there can be multiple perspectives of a single historical event.
connections ~ Pupils make connections across periods of time, groups of people and other subjects. Our thematic concepts thread through the curriculum to allow periods of history to be compared.
