practical ~ Pupils are enabled to develop their technical and practical expertise, and to apply their knowledge and skills to design and create products for a wide variety of users in an ever-changing world.
critical ~ Throughout units of learning, pupils are encouraged to assess and critique existing products and to conduct research to enable them to meet their design brief. Pupils confidently test their ideas and evaluate them, developing them for the future. The iterative process is crucial.
